Pinnacle Custom Signs was originally contacted by Ricardo, a Fitness 1440 club franchisee, for interior and exterior graphics at the Flowery Branch, GA location. The club is located near our home offices which provided us the opportunity to speak with John, the CEO of Fitness 1440, as he approves all the interior and exterior signage.
Fitness 1440 was using another sign company out of Nashville at the time of our meeting. However, John noticed that his company was growing too quickly across the nation for his current vendor to accommodate all his needs.
Pinnacle had the opportunity to explain how our business model had nationwide capabilities. Our conversation with John covered how we provide interior wall mural, window graphics, pylon signs, dimensional interior signs, channel letters and installation services to our clients through our partners across the nation. John agreed to give us the opportunity at the local facility and then took advantage of these services again with their new location in Norton, MA.
Fitness 1440 – Norton, MA
Fitness 1440 is in the process of upgrading their existing brand to meet new brand standards in new and existing locations across the nation. One of the challenges of the Norton location was the fact that it was a completely new construction for Fitness 1400 and that it is one of the franchises’ larger clubs.
Pinnacle connected with one of our local sign partners to perform the initial site survey for our team. From the site survey, we compiled the information about the club’s spaces and possible needs for graphic installations to forward to John at the corporate headquarters. John then decided on the graphics that would be installed at the new facility.
Pinnacle submitted proofs to John for approval and then set up a time for a final survey conducted by our in-house team. This required Matt to fly up to the club to take the final measurements and pictures of the walls. While there, he had the opportunity to address installation issues and reserve the lift that would be needed to complete the installation.
The Creation
This interior graphic project required intense, organized production and logistics. Pinnacle printed, finished and packed each wall graphic and shipped them directly to the club location in Norton.
Additional three-dimensional sign pieces and a large aluminum composite panel that needed to be installed, as well as a large aluminum composite panel, where delivered to a local sign company that was kind enough to accept them and cut it down to final size for us.
The Signage Installation
We chose Pinnacle staff members Trent and Matt to do the install because of Trent’s certification and Matt’s extensive experience with applying murals and paneled. This installation was estimated at three and half days of labor due the pure size of the project.
The finished sizes for the wall graphics included using a lift to cover wall spaces that extend up to 75′ wide and more than 12′ high. However, between the two of them, they completed the full installation in two days.
Matt and Trent were extremely excited to complete the project without a hitch due to the sheer size of the project. It was extremely helpful that the vinyl was correctly prepped prior to shipping – they had all they needed and knew where to find it. The guys also completed exterior installations for the front channel letters, exterior window graphics, and adding Fitness 1440 to the exterior tenant monument sign for branding.
Matt and Trent pointed out that their biggest challenge during the process was educating the customer on the best practices for vinyl application such as working around and not over pipes that would interfere with the graphics for this location.
The Future
John and Fitness 1440 are new to our family so we are still refining a process that will work for all locations but this project was a good start. Our team went the extra mile (or thousands of miles) because we couldn’t find a dependable subcontractor better than our own team to do the installation. We wanted to make sure that the job was completed correctly the first time, because we know that we will never have a second opportunity to make a first impression.
