PrimeSource Building Products was moving from a small warehouse location in Atlanta to a larger location in Ellenwood, GA. PrimeSource is one of the largest purveyors of fasteners in the world and one of the largest distributors of building materials in North America.
With 42 distribution centers and 1,200 employees across the US, Canada, and the Caribbean, their distribution network is larger and more comprehensive than any other in the industry. Their core products include: nails, screws, collated fasteners, tools, compressors, accessories, roofing, gypsum, insulation, concrete accessories, building accessories and wire fence products.
We were contacted by the local management team led by Ricky Hopkins. They were trying to create a consistent look for their warehouses across the country so they shared with us the signage that was being installed in other locations.
The warehouse signage project included outdoor dimensional letters made of High Density Urethane (HDU) on the outside of the warehouse to identify the business.
The warehouse was massive. With 17 bay doors for trucks, 26 racks over 25 feet tall x 500 feet long with millions of dollars of products, each of the bay doors had to be identified both inside and out, so that drivers delivering and picking up products went to the correct bay.
We also created signs to identify all the racks, doors, truck driver directions, etc., all of which were made with either poly-metal or coroplast. Overall we produced over a whopping 125 signs to be installed at the location.
The final addition was for their office area. It included a 4’ by 8’ map of the United States with all of their locations on an acrylic panel with one of their brand names, Grip Rite, on it.
After over two days of installation we finally wrapped up the job and finished all the signs for our customer. If you have a huge project to complete because of relocating or re-branding, don’t hesitate to contact us as we can tackle any request you may have for us!
