In July we were approached by John Williams of Jamaican National Money Services to help them with a project in the Atlanta area. They were moving into the market and were signing up new vendors for their services. They wanted to provide each of the vendors with an indoor lighted sign advertising their services.
Because they were moving into more than 18 stores in the metro area, and each store was a little different, it was crucial to get the appropriate measurements for each box.
Our initial recommendation was a slim lighted box with a translucent print showing their logo and services on it. This allowed them to create a consistent look for their brand, regardless of the size of the light box.
Subsequently, we learned that we also had some locations which required the box sign outside, rather than inside the store. However, with the proposed solution, we could also accomplish this as well. We worked with John on the pricing for the custom box signs and came up with a strategy to achieve his goals.
We had the box locally fabricated, printed the vinyl for the translucent face, and then went to the first vendor in Kennesaw for the initial installation. Although it required a trip to the local Home Depot for some hooks and bolts, the first installation was successful.
After John saw the initial installation, we then scheduled the next three locations: McDonough, Lithonia and Stone Mountain. We expect to complete the entire project sometime in the first quarter of 2014.
